Short Distance Love

Many men had broken her heart, some on purpose, some without a purpose, she wore a sad face as a lifestyle while wandering through the dark streets every night, face hanging low with a lost sight like looking for the vision of beauty in the art of life when there was none. There was no hope left anymore, only an old friend that lived in the far away lands who she had not kept contact with as the stubborn pass of time went by. What hope is left in a world of loneliness surrounded by the evil in every living being?

She reached solely for the last hope she could possibly think of. A few messages were exchanged throughout the days, words turned into conversations and conversations into late night chats, until the unavoidable came to be: the eyes melted as she cried the ocean within the deepest places of the broken heart she had lived with the last couple years. At last, a person she could trust, her real self was no longer denied, there was a good soul to reach at the distance of a thousand miles. Found peace in the comforting words, her heart was turning mellow yellow slowly and loneliness was not part of the routine she had. Dreams of sailing far to seas came to take place, to reach the sky hand in hand until the clouds poured them down softly like dewdrops in the meadow. One can add to the tale the happiness that also melted the very heart of his as her heart wide-opened.

Her world of sad and ruin started to bloom, one of those late night calls turned dreams into goals, invitations of come live with each other and love one another forevermore, she took advantadge of such priceless offers and travelled skies and seas to be with him. How could anyone deny the only ray of light in the middle of a never ending mess? Certainly not this one. As she flew to arms anxiety was eating the only sense of peace she had felt in the late days, hands sweating and hair was a mess since it was played with her hands the whole journey. Finally, arrived to the airport and took a glanze into the first smile of him, she couldn't help it but run to arms and boost in tears. The entire place had become an empty hall to her mind with just the two of them, there, in the middle of the fog that clouded happiness to her heart and mind. Reality was there, good was finally found, she recognized her connection into his eyes.

"I love you so much <sob>. Thank you so much."
"Here, here, my darling, your tears shan't be no more."
"How can someone be as good as you are? How could your past betray you knowing the value of you?"
"My past will experience its own betrayals. This moment is what matters now. You're here and so am I. Where do you want to go now? Fancy a bite?"
"I'm not hungry at all but I'll follow you anywhere, to light, to heaven, even to hell. If you tell me that we'll be fine then I shall trust your eyes are no deceivers and we'll be fine together."
